OUR STORY

Built in the 1970's from reclaimed materials, nearly every part of this property had another life and another home.  Each brick, window sill, door, archway and toilet has either been reclaimed or repurposed.  The beautiful Oregon beams you find in the main living space and kitchen used to be home in a church in the Dandenongs.  The kitchen island bench lovingly made from an old carport and the kitchen light features made from the old stud wall of lodge when renovations were undertaken.

 

Purchased in 2017,  the lodge was intended originally to become accommodation exclusively for the SCUBA dive industry of Victoria, corporates for team building excersizes, and was to be used as a future home to Australia's first disabled diving center.  As time went on it was realized that there are many other people that would benefit from staying at The Lodge and a disabled diving center would be best suited elsewhere, leaving the property open for many others to make glorious memories here.

 

After years of renovations and restorations, this unique space was put together with the aim to enhance peoples experiences in the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.  Whether it be for one night or a longer stay, you will find yourself at home instantly in this relaxing and unique property.

The Lodge- Rye also serves as accommodation for company retreats.  Let us help you with team building, small seminars and corporate getaways.  After a couple of days relaxing under this roof your team will be more cohesive and more productive.  All inclusive corporate meals, accommodation and activity packages are available.

Our sister company, Academy of Scuba, will help guide your ocean adventures.  Victoria's diving is world class yet there are very few people who travel to see what we have to offer.  Our goal is to change this by providing a retreat for the wider interstate and international diving community.  With tailor made packages Academy of Scuba will have your diving needs covered.  Whether it be for a night a few days or a week, contact us and we can go through some options.

We stayed at the lodge for one night, Kat was amazing she showed me around the place and had the fire already started and had extra wood already to go. The place was very clean and has very good amenities. I will definitely be coming back to stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay here over New Years Eve The place has stacks of space and a terrific floor plan The Host went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable she was so very friendly and welcoming, going out of her way to make sure we had everything we could want.
